A number of different instruments and options are offered:

• Piano: Pre-grade 1 – Grade 8
• Descant Recorder: Pre-grade 1 – Grade 4
• Contemporary Voice Training
• Theory of Music: Grade 1 – 4

The Dolce Music Academy offers a tailor-made package for the individual. You may choose to follow a contemporary musical path or a classical graded approach. However, all beginners start with the outlined curriculum:

• Piano: John Thompson’s Easiest Piano Course Part 1 - 4.
  Thereafter students may choose their preferred musical genre.
• Recorder: Brian Davey Descant Recorder Part 1 – 3.
  Thereafter students may choose their preferred musical genre.
• Contemporary Singing: This is offered as an enrichment activity. Classical ideals and concepts will not be the primary focus. During these lessons, students will be taught the basics of singing, pronunciation, dynamics, range control and more.
• Theory Tuition: This is optional and is done during lesson time until the student reaches a grade 2 level. Once this level has been reached, it will be necessary for the student to attend a group theory class once a week.

The Dolce Music Academy also attends pre-schools in the mornings where piano and group recorder lessons are given. An electric, full-size and touch sensitive piano is provided. Please do not hesitate to phone if you would like to find out if Dolce Music Academy does attend your particular school.

All lessons are thirty minutes long. A forty-five minute lesson slot can also be arranged, provided the time is available.

All lessons for students attending school are given at my residence in the afternoons. A specific time will be assigned to each student.
